Certified Mediator - Dianne Sullivan

Dianne Sullivan

Dianne was born and raised in Belleville, New Jersey, just outside the shadow of New York City. Her father, an Army veteran and mathematics professor and mother, an administrative assistant; provided her with the inspiration to pursue learning the Law.

Receiving a full scholarship to Seton Hall University, Dianne earned her Bachelor’s Degree, with honors, in Social and Behavioral Sciences and spent her first year studying law at Seton Hall. Moving to Phoenix before her final year, Arizona State University Law School is where she finished up her law degree, fulfilling her childhood dream to serve her community.

Dianne first began her law career in the City Prosecutors office, in Phoenix as an assistant prosecuting attorney. While serving the city, she successfully prosecuted domestic violence offenders, along with DUI and other misdemeanor cases.

After leaving the prosecutor’s office, she worked in criminal law, as well serving the needs of the County Public Defender’s Office but family law is where she found her calling. To help families in need of compassionate counsel. While working for large family law firms, she found the lack of personalized service to be a product of the corporate environment, which placed profits over people. So, branching out on her own, she opened Families First Mediation, a small boutique mediation firm which prides itself on the compassion it shows to every family that walks through the door. It’s important to Dianne that each client will know their family is important and more than just a case because she truly cares about the positive outcome of each and every family she serves.

Families First Mediation now handles every type of family law mediation, including divorce, divorce with children, child custody, child support, paternity, and parenting time.

Dianne volunteers her time offering her expertise, giving back to veteran and homeless organizations, as part of the Volunteer Lawyers Program receiving awards for her pro bono services from Seton Hall for her work with indigent criminal defendants. She also participates in the Wills for Heroes Program, which provides free estate planning for law enforcement agencies.

Call Dianne now or contact her online to schedule your consultation for mediation to let her help your family the same as she’s helped so many others.
